whatelse is compatible with a honey gourami, a powder blue dwarf gourami, and a dwarf gourami? i was going to put them in a 5 gallon tank and i used a website that Copperhead gave me called http://www.thinkfish.co.uk/community_results.php?page=2 and I dont think it works because it says my tank can fit: a dwarf gourami, a powder blue dwarf gourami, 2 honey gouramis, and 2 neons. If you have any extra advice please let me know! thank you and if i was being cruel i would simply ignore you guys and get 5 convict cichlids (i wont though because im seriously against animal cruelty not with it! ) :-D

A 5 gal tank would be good for a single dwarf gourami (pwder blue, regular, flame, or honey) and maybe 2-3 small fish like neon or glow lite tetras, guppies, or dwarf platies. These would all work with each other. Good luck and thanks for doing research before getting the fish!

Hi there. Many people have called me cruel, but I am anything but. I absolutely adore animals, and always have done. I currently have, in a 5.7 gallon tank;
2 honey gourami
3 wild green neon tera
1 betta
5 mountain minnow
3 glowlight tetra
2 platy
1 phantom tetra
2 shrimp.

I have just ordered a 35gallon tank, and was a novice when I first bought my fish, having no clue that keeping so many was cruelty. I guess I just didn't realise, as my tank didn't look overcrowded, my water levels were always good, and I never had any deaths or problems.
I've since learnt that maintaining an over-crowded, small tank is actually FAR more difficult than a large, normally stocked tank. And something that fish keepers see as the ultimate challenge. So I guess I must be a natural!
I can't wait to put my beloved fish into a much larger tank, and see how much they will enjoy the extra space. But having said that, I have managed to keep them very well in their current environment. I've had no fighting or deaths for over 7months. They all seem to get on extremely well.
My Honey Gourami are my favourite fish. They come straight to the front of the tank everytime I walk in the room, and if I put my (washed, with no soap!) hand into the tank, they will swim between my fingers and kiss my hand. They are adorable! I think dwarf and powder blue gouramis are pretty similar to honeys in terms of maintanance and temprament. So, any of the fish I have would go really well with them.
There are also loads of websites around that will tell you exactly which fish are compatible with others. And also,

is brilliant. Just go to the fish section, and you can ask fish keeping experts your question, and get a great answer!
Good luck!

I haven't checked with the website you mention yet, but I would bet it means OR for all those various gourami. That would make since and would fit in a 5 gallon tank.

Honey Gouramis are smaller than Dwarves and hence better proper for a small 35 litre tank. Honeys are also a strategies better healthy than Dwarves today - Dwarves are riddled with their own deadly Iridovirus (DGIV), that is totally complicated to detect a healthy batch!! bypass for a Honey Gourami (and be careful no longer to mistake a Honey for a sunset Dwarf Gourami!).
