i mean , there is too much of testing , any of these shows like making the band etc , become a bit disconcerting . have you ever wondered , if people like britney , nelly , justin , p diddy , auditioned . They would never even make it through the first round but still they are rulling today . Its all crap , three unknown people in american idol have been made judges . Paula Abdul , herself was a dancer and she got a recording deal just coz of that , check her biography on wikipedia . And those other two , oh my god did u know they existed before the show . You all out there must be thinking that 'we all vote for the contestants too' but arent ur votes based on what these outrageous judges say . Secondaly , making the band , my god , who says u have to be a good dancer , to be a good singer . Did Aretha Franklin and Elton John dance in their videos . i wish that all the talented people out there , don't go for these crapy shows . If it is destined , it will happen . what u think .

That being said, however, its a Cinderella story that we can all see unfold and participate in. There's so much BAD news and violent entertainment, its refreshing to watch a nobody become a potential star. Where's the harm in that?

certain elements are silly--Sanjaya--but that doesn't keep me from watching. it's actually interesting to see some people develop, while others remain lack-luster--Sanjaya--and you wonder why they're on there.
