Sanjaya is not my favorite contestant on American Idol and every Wednesday night when fans find out who will be leaving American Idol, it always turns out to be someone that I hoped would at least stay until the top five remaining people. AND NEVER SANJAYA! To my opinion Sanjaya can sing just not enough to remain on American Idol...Now to YOUR OPINION DO YOU THINK SANJAYA HAS WHAT IT TAKES TO STAY ON AMERICAN IDOL UNTIL THE REMAINING FIVE?

I think that he will last a little longer,but I don't think he will win because he is not the strongest contestant. Even though I like several contestants (lakisha, sanjaya, blake, jordin, melinda), I think either melinda or jordin will win because I think they are the best.

No, but he will end up at the finals anyway. Here's why- America is by and large so dissatisfied with our current political climate (war in Iraq, insane gas prices, etc.) that we want to have control over something, anything, as long as we feel like we made the choice. The outpouring of support for Sanjaya is, in effect, a subversive attempt to buck the system and give the honor of American Idol to a person who is not the judges' choice. By controlling the phone votes and ensuring Sanjaya's safety on the show, Americans are basically sticking it to The Man.

I think Sanjaya will stay on, but mostly because people are starting to make a mockery of Idol. They want to see a person win that really has no hope without the help of the show. There are some really talented people on there still that can sing. However, the kid's got some balz for going up there every week knowing people can't stand him.

This is the worst Idol yet. If Sanjaya wins or comes close I and alot of other people will stop watching the show. He is getting votes because of the fact that he should not be there. It has become a farse. It is messed up that some good singers are not there that should be and he is there because it is funny to some.

I've been singing for years and I can tell you that Sanjaya is NO "singer." He should be gone and lord knows how long those skanks out there will keep voting for him. Personally, I think from now on it should simply be called "Idol" and let the judges select the winner instead of America calling in votes.

the preteen are the ones voting for him! Simon, Paula and Randy shouldn't let him go to L A in the first place. the three of them voted for him to be the top 24 and on to the top 12.
IMO AI is a joke this season because of Sanjaya.. he is no singer he is going to win parents hide that phone from your preteen!!!

it's NOT A SINGING CONTEST! It's a reality show.
And the fact that you are discussing him makes him the most intriguing cast member. Therefor, he'll stay around for a while.

He'll probably be around for a few more weeks. He sucks though. Once there are fewer contestants to choose from, hell get voted off.

I figure he will be around a little while longer, but in the end we will have the right person win. I wish I didn't have to watch him anymore, but I can always fast forward with the DVR, I guess. : )
