Just to say I come from Europe currently living in Canada (whoo!!! yay yay Canada!) Anyways, I have a question for all Americans out there don't you feel scared that you could get shot or kidnapped when you go outside? I know there are a lot crimes in America. Yes,I know there are many crimes out there not only America. So how do you deal?

I think you've been watching waaaaaay too many action movies. The number of times I've felt like I was in danger when I went outside could be counted on the fingers of a maimed hand.

No I am not afraid of being shot when I walk out the door. As with anywhere there are safe spots and not so safe spots...I have hardly ever seen a crime...other than drug deals, but thats mostly white suburban kids doing that...no guns or anything. If you worry, I would recommend getting a handgun.

Please don't believe the hype!!!! It all depends on were your at, just like any other place. I've hardly ever been afraid for my life, but just come down and see, you can look at you surroundings and tell whether or not your in a good spot.
