person in a beat up old car. am i the only one who think like this??? in my mind i equate white folk with wealth because they own all the major corporations, so when i see white people with broke down, or old, or substandard cars i find it quite hilariously pitiful. these kind of cars should be left to the broke minorities to drive like the mexicans. do i have a skewed mindset or is anyone with me??

I don't believe you are for real, there is clearly something wrong with you as that is the silliest thing I have ever read...before I made it, I drove my poor white self around in a beat up old WHITE dastun for a few years...before that it was a beat up old white Volvo that only ran when it wanted to...now I drive a red car which is not old or beat up.

yes, you have a skewed mindset. i hate people that think like you. i am a white person and have driven my share of beat up cars because i had no other option. and by the way, the color of skin doesn't matter, blood still runs red.

Yep, you're skewed alright.
Look around and you can easily see that wealth is distributed disproportionately. Incidentally, I happen to know quite a few minority types that have money...whole bunches more than my tired white self will ever see. It all comes down to time and chance, which happen to everyone.

e. Most of the cars that I have seen lately that are old and beat up are classics. I have a real weakness for a classic car. So really what goes through my mind is potential ways on how I would fix it up.

Yes, you have a skewed mindset. Aren't you aware that a lot of people are poor? You need to be thankful for what you have and quit judging others.

Yep, you have a skewed mindset.

The type of car you drive (or don't drive) should be determined what you can AFFORD to drive minus debt.

So I ask you, what kind of car can you afford to drive if you had to pay for it with cash?

If your vehicle isn't paid for (mine all are) then you are trading your financial security for the image of a late model car that you can't afford.

So who is smarter? Me, who drives a 2000 model pick up truck that is paid for your you who drives a current model vehicle with loads of debt, or worse it is leased.

It is al about finances and economic freedom my friend...not appearances.

If you don't like to see that then bye him another car.
Not every white person has money.
No matter what colour we are we drive what we can afford.
