At first glance, it would seem as if everyone should really have ambition in order to be a worthy person.
However, there are sick and disabled persons who may appear to have no ambition and should not be judged simply because of the state that they are in.
You have asked a broad question, but I've lived life long enough to know that there are many people, circumstances and no easy answers when it comes to determining someone's ambition, or lack of it. Regardless of ambition, each person has value and worth.

I see him as being lazy in a way. Everyone should want to better there life, and have ambitions! Ambition is what gets you out of bed and off you *** each day. If you let that go then where would you be? In not a good place!

Empty with no purpose. Someone who has no faith in self and is striving for nothing. This sounds like a boy not a man, a man always has a purpose, goals , dreams and will dam near kill himself 2 be an achiever. Everythings at stake, his ego and his pride.

It depends...if you mean like, not wanting to be the richest, smartest, fastest, etc, and having goals, still, I would describe him as laid back.

If you mean he is lazy, won't learn, won't try, etc, I would call him trifling...

It took me years to get here, but I understand now that everyone can't be number 1. That it is okay for men to do their thing (you know, some men are like the father in Meet the Fockers, and have other priorities), but I don't like trifling.

What I mean is like a young man who lives near my grandmother...he won't get a job...he won't join military service and help his country...he never helps him family around the house (inside chores, yard work)...won't help at the family store...won't help fix cars or things around the house...won't volunteer to help people in his community or organizations...won't go to college...lost 3 girlfriends because he was too lazy to go and see them or take them out...tried to sell drugs (can you imagine??!!???) and got beat up by the dealer above him because he was too lazy to go out and sell them...feels like his family and the world should help him and support him...wow...I never encountered such a person before but my grandmother's neighborhood has changed drastically..

I am saying that it is okay to not be Mr. Corporate # 1 but not okay to just float on...understand?
