The cramps I am getting are a little different from usual menstrual cramps but I cannot be sure. I did a home pregnancy test and it was negative. Could it have been too early? I was really hoping these were implantation cramps but the test has really dashed all my hopes.

It was probably too early to test. First response home pregnancy test says you can test up yo 4 days but the earlier you test the more likely you are to get a false negative. If you don't want to waste money keep buying tests wait until the day your period is due to retest. You should get a postive that day if you are. I showed a faint positive 12dpo so that was 3 days before my period was due. Have you had any other symptoms? I had a metallic taste in my mouth a week before my period was due, then nausea a few days later. But everyone is different.Good luck!

I know all the tests now a days say you can take them five days early but I really wouldn't.

When you are hoping for something you can start to read into symptoms that might not be there.

I would not let that test result dash your hopes. Try not to stress about it *as that can affect your cycle* and wait until you are a week late. Then take the test first thing in the morning, as your urine will have more of the HCG hormone in it.

Good Luck

Don't get your hopes done it might be that its just to early to detect. Just wait to see if your period shows up if doesn't take a pregnancy test. My sister in law got two negative test and got her period and then she started having a really bad cold and when to the doctor to check on her cold and they decided to do a pregnancy test and it came back positive she also had bronchitis but she was happy to find out that she was 2 month pregnant. Now shes 5 month and healthy. so don't lose hope. Good Luck with everything.

I guess everyone's different. But I never had any cramps or signs of pregnancy when I took my test. I normally have cramps and signs of pregnancy when I'm about to get my period. PMS ya know?? so my husband told me to take a test 2 days before my period was due...Go figure! Hormones are different for everyone. Wait until your period is missed.

Pregnancy tests are typically not accurate until the first day of your missed period - so it was probably too early for you to test yet. Try testing again in 5-6 days.
Good luck! :)

Don't give your hopes up. It is very possible that you could have gotten a false negative from testing too early. Wait a couple of more days and take a test with your first morning urine. I am in the same position as you. I have just entered my two week wait so I am hoping that I am pregnant.

If your period is not due yet, then it's too soon to test. You need to wait a few more days. Good luck!

I tested before my period was due, and it was negative. Then, I tested a week later, the day my period was due, and got a faint line. Then, I tested a few days later and the line was darker.

You have test to early if i were you i would wait for 2 more weeks then test. i had the same problem took a pg test it was n- so then i wait a few more weeks and got the same n-. so then i went to my Dr and they gave me a blood pg test and that was positive. so dint give up. even if it is N- try not to think about it so much and it will happen when you least expect it. when i gave up and didn't stress my self out that's when i was blessed so good luck.

If you are not due to start for another 5days it really is to early for a test. I would just wait until the day you are due to start and test again then. I know it can be extremely hard waiting.

Take a first response test...it will give your results the quickest, in my opinion, plus you may be just where you can take a test...you have to wait until you are within days of your next expected period...so my advice is to take another one in about two to three days! Good luck!
