To me it's "Pirates of Caribbean". Great investment and excellent movies!

Animated:
Aladdin.
Hands down.

Sleeping Beauty gets a close second. But the thing that these two movies share in common is EXCELLENT villains...both of who happen to transform into hideous monsters.
Aladdin really captures the excitement and adventure that a good fairy tale should have.
Plus the songs are wonderful.

Live Action is the first Pirates of the Carribbean movie.
I watched it again the other day and I forgot just how fun the damn thing is. The second one seems a little disappointing by comparison, but we'll see if the third redeems it.

Also, even though it was released under the Touchstone label and not Disney outright, Who Framed Roger Rabbit is one of the greatest movies ever made. And not just because it seemlessly combines great animation with live action, but because of Bob Hoskins performance as a down and out private detective. He makes the movie, and sells the animated characters. Without him the movie is nothing.
Also Christopher Lloyd.

That is a tough one...I'd have to say "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" because everyone thought it was going to be such a colossal blunder and Walt Disney showed his critics just how wrong they were. That movie made all the other Disney animated feature-length films possible.
