If you want RTS games, pick up the Command & Conquer Collection, it has all the C&C games up to Generals: Zero Hour. If you want a first-person-shooter, it comes with Command & Conquer: Renegade. It's great online.

If your computer is good enough and you like RTS games then you should definately pick up Rome: Total War. The game is amazing; it is leaps and bounds ahead of other RTS games. For a first person shooter you could pick up... Halo 2 or Half-life 2. For a third person game you could get GTA and start your own war.

If you like simulators I would try and get Microsoft Flight Simulator X (10). I can't think of any good war games though. If you like flying games definently get Flight Simulator X.
