Well, I'm white, my husband is black, and my daughter is mixed. I never feel left out or self-concious.
LOVE IS COLOR-BLIND.

i have a friend in this situation ... she obviously LOVES her children to death, but it is sometimes wierd because people who see her on the street with her two children will ask her if she is the nanny or otherwise assume that the children are not hers. but - it doesn't change the way she feels about her family or her husband!
my husband and daughter are both caucasian, but much much darker than me - so people often look at me and my daughter and mention that she MUST resemble my husband. i've been asked several times if she's mine, too ... so it happens even in non-mixed relationships!
