Appearing on a debate show would require presenting issues and ideas which actually offer valid solutions to real problems. Since the libs are bankrupt of anything like that, they'd rather have tea with nations that harbor terrorists and kiss up to the EU. It's much safer and in line with their ideology.

What would you do if you were going to be cross examined rather than asked civil questions? Are any of the questioners from other networks? Is it going to be all Fox and nothting but Fox? If so I don't blame them. It is not balanced at all. Show me a panel of evenly divided people between liberal and conservative, Republican and Democrat with a moderator that is sworn to give equal time to everyone and maybe I would consider it. But I suggest that Fox has no intentions of doing anything near that fair and so it is ridiculous for them to appear. I say the same should be if one of the alphabet nets invited the Republican candidate without some balance on the panel and a fair moderator.

Fox is in basic terms no longer a information channel. it really is cable information! And it really is not honest or balanced! Who ought to need to be puzzled by technique of a set of liars attempting to make someone look undesirable? They even do it to Republicans! at the same time as is it a questioners activity to flow after a candidate, yet Fox did a Republican tonight! "on my own between the contenders, Paul, a veteran Texas congressman with a libertarian streak, made the case for taking flight troops. That drew a pointy project from Chris Wallace, between the talk questioners, who requested no matter if u . s . a . could take its marching orders from al-Qaida. "No! we could consistently take our marching orders from our structure," Paul shouted decrease back, pointing his pen at Wallace for emphasis. "we could consistently no longer flow to warfare with no announcement" by technique of Congress." AP

I find it ironic that you are asking such a question given that the Republicans always ***** about how liberal the media is in order to discredit it so their lies can be without resistance. When it comes to abortion, seperation or church and state, free trade, welfare reform and many other issues they are actually in the minority so say all the polls and yet that doesn't seem to stop that from trying to pass such laws.

Fox isn't a legitimate news broadcast. The liberal media is a myth. All your television stations are corporate owned and have a mainstream conservative slant.Fox is a propaganda tool for the Imperialistic Neocon ideology as admitted by Rupert Murdoch himself.
The democrats would have a better chance at a fair debate if they let the GOP host it

Oh God! Still this myth about the "liberal" media. There are NO liberal networks in the US.
Watch any US news channels with an open mind and you will see:
- News and public affairs that are predominatly pro-military and pro-business
- Promotion of policies such as expansive Presidential executive powers and deregulation of corporations
- Critical or absent coverage of progressives Democrats (e.g., pro-peace 2004 presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich) and Green party candidates (e.g., Ralph Nader)
- Soft coverage on Republicans and conservative Democrats.
- "Experts" on news programs often come from "conservative think tanks", such as the Heritage Foundation, the Cato Institute, and the American Enterprise Institute.
The majority of news stations are owned by Multi-billion dollar media conglomerates such as NewsCorp, General Electric and Viacom. The CEOs of these, as well as the CEOs of Disney and AOL Time-Warner are ALL Republicans. Rupert Murdoch (owns Sky, Fox etc) is not a US citizen but he freely admits that his political views are from the right-wing republican mould. Considering editorial policy is set from the top down in virtually all media organizations, is it credible to think that a load of right-wing Republicans would really set an editorial policy that is completely opposite to their beliefs?
Falsly suggesting that there is a liberal bias in the media allows conservative biases to be played up in the name of "redressing" the balance.

Why would one willingly walk into the lions den?
Fox news is hardly news, it is mostly commentary with a defined slant to the right. The bias is blatant and rarely based in fact rather opinion.
You are making a generalization that not a single democratic candidate in any jurisdiction will appear on fox news. However I can understand their aversion to it.

You must have missed the fact that FOX has become a journalistic joke to anyone not working for that network. There's a big difference between being cowardly and not wanting to waste your time being set up by questions aimed to a Republican slant. Faux News is a JOKE to anyone who doesn't watch it, that's just a fact. I applaud their good taste in declining.

You are completely incorrect and are showing a lack of understanding of politics.. the fact is a debate on that network in no way helps them win the primary.. it's not where the mass of their voter bases for that group will be.. so it is pointless and a waste of time.

It is NOT fear, but rather economic warfare. They are trying to send the message that broadcaster had BETTER stay in the Democrat/Socialist camp or be denied their audience.
Problem is that it will have just the wrong effect from what they wanted. The FOX audience will see ONLY the Conservatives and will become even more conservative that it already is.
This way of thinking is typical of the people that support Unions and Communists. You will do it our way or suffer the consequences. LOL
