Honestly? The jobs really are for the older folk who Wal-Mart has a policy of hiring, but who have trouble doing the more physical tasks.

I worked for Wal-Mart for two years and I was often asked to do the front door work during my time as a front-end cashier. I enjoyed it and had more opportunities to do the job than most, since others found the job boring, as it does make time go by slowly.

Veterans get them before anyone else. It's actually a policy. I was desperate for any work and begged a friend of a friend who is a Manager at a Wal-Mart. I'm not saying that you won't get it but if Wal-Mart has the choice between you and a vet, they'll pick the vet.

I think it was pretty rude of you to do something like that. If someone extended their break, there could have been a reason (not saying that there was). Going to the management also makes sense too, but the fact that you felt good about getting her in trouble is a bit mean. I would be feeling guilt more than pleasure. Also, what you said to her was basically rubbing the fact that you got her in trouble in her face, which is very very rude.
