Number one, I doubt the "10% in 1925"! Was *that* by "consensus", too? How do you think the all these politically correct, so-called "scientists" arrived at the conclusion that evolution was "really" true? If you answered "by consensus", go to the head of the class!
Unfortunately, this has elevated the fanatical belief in evolution from a *religion* into something that they call science" If any *real* scientist challenges the "orthodoxy" of any of the *main* tenants of faith in evolution, he or she is *excommunicated*!
The only viable alternative to faith in evolution is faith in God, our Creator, and *that* would be *anathema* to the wannabe godless Evolutionists/Secular Humanists! Then they would have to concede that there is a higher power, a superior intellect to whom they would owe allegiance and to whom they would be accountable! Instead they would rather hug a tree and worship Gaea, AKA, Gaia) = Mother Earth!
Number two, I tend to agree with you, Kevin A!
If you *really* want to know what causes global warming on earth - and on *all* the other planets, as well, look to that secondary star, around which the "Third Rock from the Sun" and all the other planets revolve - Sol! Or maybe most of you also believe that humans cause global warming on Mars, et al, too!

look at all the smog in the air caused by factories that humans built and the cars that humans invented. i don't know what percentage in which man contributes but i would had guessed it would be more...
many scientists oppose the idea of global warming because they don't want to reverse the scientific and industrial progress man has made.
I'm not sure why they would remove it...maybe they thought it was inaccurate

Contribute, YES but that's not even a drop in the bucket when you compare it to what damage the earth itself does. Think of all the volcanoes, forest fires and animal farts. Well that last one was meant to be funny but the other two put more carbon in the air than any human state does or all the human states.
Think about it.
Global Warming is a natural occurrence and there's nothing that can stop it. NOTHING!

The people who "don't believe" in global warming fall into two categories--thos e who are paid by special interests to spread misinformation--like the fake figure s you quoted.
And people who have some severe emotional problems or who are completely ignorant of what science is and how it works.
So here's a challenge: can you cite a single study--an actual report of scientific findings based on empirical research--to support your claims. Websites, summaries, and opinion pieces don't count--I mean real peer-reviewed scientific papers.

I have no idea where you got your facts and figures.
The fact is, 2000 scientists from around the world contributed to the UN report on climate change. These are independent scientists--NOT schills for the energy industry. For that matter, even half the energy industry's paid schills concur man's contribution to global warming is significant.
Scientific American recapped this study in a recent issue--man's contribution to global warming is 4 or 5 times above and beyond what is natural, according to our best models.
Kevin notes animal flatulence. Methane is a greenhouse gas, more potent than carbon dioxide. But much of the methane comes from animal farming--the cattle industry. Most of the rest of the carbon released naturally into the atmosphere is also removed by photosynthesis.
What is causing the present buildup of CO2 is our consumption of carbon that had been sequestered since the permian, around 300 million years ago. Forest fires release carbon which will be recycled when (if) the forest regrows. The trouble is, many forest fires are man caused, and the environmental changes we have instigated are likely to lead to ever greater releases of naturally sequestered carbon.
On one thing I must agree with other posters--carbon build up is inevitable. No one is going to quit releasing carbon regardless of the consequences. Conservatives are not the only ones who adhere to a "if it feels good, do it" philosophy. And fossil fuel feels just so good. The best we might hope for is to slow down our consumption of fossil fuel. But with energy companies raking in billions in quarterly profits, incentives for conservation are non existent.

YES. Next question, which is: is there a correlation between the number of people who refuse to acknowledge they are having a profoundly adverse impact on the environment and the extent of the damage those people cause to the environment?
Answer: YES - the US produces about a quarter of the world's carbon dioxide.
The UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change stated in its latest report that natural systems on all continents and in some oceans are being affected by rising temperatures, and warming caused by human activity is likely to have had "a discernible influence on many physical and biological systems."

because the scientist are still living in stage if deniel. Of course man contributes to global warming, though it might be hard to believe we would ruin our own selve. all the chemicals and polution is eating up the ozon layer and in return more hardcore sun rays are falling onto earth.

Probably. Ants probably contribute too. But in both cases it might be a VERY small amount.
