I'm sure that they're not going to make anymore Friday the 13th movies. I'm mean, look at Jason X, I think that kind of ruined the whole series.

...'frightfilmfan' to the rescue!!!
...according to the New Line Cinema grapevine, the next film to explore the further blood-spattering meyhem of Mr. Jason Voorhees is definately being considered; in the impending light of director Rob Zombie's reimagining of the 'Halloween' franchise, New Line wants to explore, in much greater detail, the tragic & tormented younger days of Jason. This may mean having the character of Pamela Voorhees (Jason's Mom) return, and expound upon further killings of her own, as she did in the first movie. Reportedly, this background scenario will be interspliced with the modern day Jason terrorizing a new group of hapless and lustful teens, who once again stumble onto Jason's hallowed territory at Camp Crystal Lake.
If this isn't enough good news, then let's do one better: Rumor control, over at New Line, is that this new 'reimagining' of the franchise might be done side-by-side with Paramount, the studio where Jason was originally wrought (Paramount handed the 'Friday the 13th' reins over to New Line, after the dismal box office returns of "Friday the 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhatten")
Then, of course, there's always the on-again/off-again rumor report, always flying fast and furious, about 'Freddy vs. Jason 2', whereby Freddy and Jason reluctantly join forces against none other than Ash, from the 'Evil Dead' movies (Seriously!!!).
Hope This Helps!!!
...and so, having triumphed once again, the great and mighty 'frightfilmfan' vanishes into the night, as quickly as he came...

well i dont know if this is still gonna happen,
but soon after Jason X came out New Line Cinema made a statement about the future of Jason.
The original contract called for 13 movies.
That contract still stands.
That leaves 3 possible sequels.
So as a writer i was thinking of ways to do it.
Jason XI: Jason is on the new planet, and starts a new rampage across it and other planets. However at the end he is captured again.
Jason XII: A group of scientists and greedy men have discovered a way to control Jason's mind. They want to use him to defeat their enemies and take over the universe. Jason becomes a one man killing army.
Jason XIII: Jason is out of control and has even killed the men who tried to program him. He is a threat to all humanity, and someone must destroy him once and for all. Someone will discover a way and it will come down to a final battle.

They want to make a Freddy vs. Jason 2 with maybe Michael Myers in the mix. It is still in discussion.

Hopefully never. The first four and Part 6 were okay, but when you put Jason in outer space or when he went to Manhattan, give me a freaking break.

Rob Zombie is re-making "Halloween".
However, just like in the movies, Jason don't stay dead for long. I'm sure he'll be back in one form or another soon.

i think they have pretty much rub that one into the ground. and they should have stopped before the put the first one out to begin with. i mean you can make a good scary movie without all the blood i wish hollywood would figure that out.
