you get to clock in in the private sector and sit in traffic jams half your life!!!and that sucks.
In the governemnt when you're late no one cares,
get tons of days off all year,
no immediate boss to fire you, two hour lunches,
30 sick days a year and 30 plus vacation days,
talk on the phone all day,
internet surfing all day,
go home at 3.00pm and come in at 10.00 am,
do work only when deadline is due in like four hours in a month,
guarnteed raises first of the year, no need to beg and plead some private boss,
quite work surroundings,
take time out to be with the kids, or go to their school when they call,
run errands whenever,
never have to wait for a day off to do something...
forget the private sector too much structure, no flexibility

oh did i mention great benefits right from Day One,

What do I do? I have always worked in the private sector - in the hospitality industry.

Started off as a concierge and front desk agent, was promoted to front office manager, night manager, then moved to sales and became a sales coordinator, convention services manager, sales manager, senior sales manager, now regional senior sales manager for a major hotel company.

That's what I do and I love it. More room for promotion and increases/bonuses to work in the private sector than for the government, in my opinion.

You pay taxes, right. "You are working for the Government." Probably up until July or August in most states.
