Here's the deal. I'm getting an AMD Athlon X2 Processor 4400+ along with 2GB of DDR2RAM..
Will I be able to play Microsoft Flight Simulator X with maximum graphics and everything and still play smoothly?
I dont want to know about Intel or anything, just please answer this:
"Can I play Microsoft Flight simulator X smoothly, running maximum graphics, scenery detail, aircraft detail, etc. with what I have?"

AMD is far more robust than Intel.

With that kind of backup, you shouldn't have a problem.

Just check ourt if the mobo has the right graphics card and if it doesn't, does it support an additional graphics card.

You didn't specify the mobo and graphics card, so, I couldn't check.

All the best.

Cheers!

ST

PS

By the way, here are the specs :

Microsoft Flight Simulator X (Standard Edition) [SIM 111]

Minimum system requirements...

Windows XP SP2: 256MB RAM
Processor: 1.0 GHz
Hard Drive: 15 GB
Online/Multiplayer: 56.6 kbps or better for internet play
Video card: DirectX9.0c compliant video card with 32 MB of RAM and support for hardware transformation and lighting
Other: DirectX9 hardware compatibility and audio card with speakers and/or headphones

Per the M$ website, you meet the minimum requirements on CPU and memory, but there really is no way for people to answer this question "for sure", as NUMEROUS other factors needs to be considered (background programs, graphics adapter, network speed/congestion, etc). The 4400+ is a good CPU and 2G of memory is also good (as long as you properly match with the CPU speed).

Check out the link below at M$ for further technical info.

U sure got a SUPA config there man! Just needed the graphics card details. Well if you've got a decent one min. 256mb on either PCI-E or AGP8X ur gona rock brother!!! ;p Get me a config lyk tht plz! lol! Hey 4got to tell ya smfin! It will not be ok if you've got the low qualiT cards for e.g. the 6200 or 7200 coz these are shared mem type cards. They are 'parasite cards' that feed on ur RAM if u need more performance for games.
Else this config is SUPERB!
May the luck of the Gods be with u!

The most important part of a gaming machine is the graphics card, You should worry more about that. The stuff you list is good but you really need a card for high end graphic performance. This link on graphics card performance is great.

I recomend an nVidia 7600 GT or higher.

That is going to be a tough question to answer... What graphics card are you going to be using and how much RAM does it have? The processor should be able to handle it fine, more system RAM would help, but the main thing is going to be the video card to handle the maximum settings. Hope this helps...

The processor and RAM will be sufficient for that game, pending on what kind of graphics cards you get. A decent motherboard will help too.

I should think so but check on the game box it will tell you what speck you will need, also go to MS FS website support and ask their support staff... they will tell you better than anyone on here
