I love those questions!
I do want to give a serious answer/ but looking at the grimness, I just want to throw a light hearted sarcasm in.

"This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel."
- Horace Walpole

Most of the philosophers I personally know are of the thoughtful kind. I wonder sometimes at those who take themselves and their ideas so seriously... but then I get caught doing it from time to time myself. :p

I agree with you! In Y!A, the 'philosophy' section is usually 'grim questions' so that people don't even WANT to see the answers ... and some of those 'grim questions' are actually so 'poorly written' that they are 'offensive' although I won't say that is what the writers wanted at least half of the time. 'Sarcasm' should be a 'philosophy,' too, I think ... because there is so much about 'philosophy' that could be more easily understood if people could 'understand' the 'sarcasm' that is inherent in many 'serious' answers, either by accident or purposefully. Sarcasm does NOT belong in 'Jokes' though, because a joke is 'immediately funny or not, and sometimes you must 'think' about sarcasm to understand the 'humor' in it ... so HAVE FUN while you are here, and 'look at the questions and the answers' and know that sometimes you may be the 'butt' of a 'sarcasm' that you don't know is going on ... and then LAUGH at yourself ... because if you can laugh at yourself, it doesn't hurt when others laugh at you. THINK ABOUT IT.

Quit smiling!

This is not a happy place silly boy!

But yes... it would seem that the grims are the only people who ask important questions... The happies ask chicken and egg ones.
