I have two tanks. One contains two albino frogs (about 5 in. long), chinese algae eaters and two medium sized fish. My other tank contains a catfish, red tailed shark, chiclid, chinese algae eaters and a placostamus (sp?). Would a blue lobster be compatible in either of these tanks? If so, what is their life span and what can I feed them? Is there a website that I can go to in order to research them further? I think they are beautiful creatures. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't recommend it for either tank. Blue lobsters are actually a color morph of crayfish and would hurt or kill your fish during the night. Here's a site with some good info on their care and keeping:

Hope that helps

basically a million can stay in a 10 gallon. crayfish are very territorial and that i could recommend a fifty 5 gallon so as that a million blue lobster doesnt consume the different, even although a million would be lacking limbs. i could in simple terms get a million, they get 6 inches to a foot in length. they oftentimes basically get 6 inches although. stable luck with the hot cray fish(bluelobsters are crayfish)

No a lobster or crawfish of any color is not compatable with any tank that has fish in it. They eat fish in the wild as well as stuff found on the bottom. They will wait until your fish sleep and then nip them or cut them depending on the size of the lobster/crawfish. The fish may get away a few times but in the end you will end up with just a lobster and no more fish.

WELL I HAD A BLUE LOBSTER IN WITH MY FISH AND HE WOULD SNIP ALL THERE FINS OFF UNTIL THEY WHERE JUST A TORSO. I WOULD THINK IF YOU PUT HIM IN ONE OF THOSE TANKS IT WOULDN'T BE A GOOD IDEA TO PUT HIM IN WITH THE FROGS. I THINK IF YOU WOULD PUT HIM IN WITH THE CATFISH AND SHARK THAT THEY WOULD BE FINE. MINE WOULD EAT DRIED SHRIMP BUT IF YOU WANTED TO PUT SOME FRESH ONES OR FEEDER FISH IN THERE FOR HIM THAT WOULD WORK TO. I DON'T REALLY THINK HE EVER TREID TO EAT THE FISH HE JUST WOULD CHASE THEM AROUND AND CLIP OFF THERE FINS BUT I THINK THE OTHERS WOULD BULLY HIM AROUND. IT IS TO MY BELIEF THAT THEY STAY ALIVE FOR A FEW YEARS. MINE HOWEVER I WENT ON VACA AND MY ROOMMATE DIDN'T FEED HIM AND HE DIED. :( I WAS RATHER SAD B/C HE WAS A FUNNY LOBSTER. I DO RECOMMEND GETTING ONE! JUST MAKE SURE YOU TAKE CARE OF IT.
