I'm Black and neither one asked me if I wanted them to be my representative.
Ok, Al and Jesse, this is the way it is --
I, as a Black American, didn't ask either of you to represent me. Yes, we all are of African descent but some how both of you have self appointed your personage as leaders to Black Americans based on our collective ancestries. This is not acceptable and I personally decline your services.
In other words -- you are fired.

I agree. I am a black american woman(notice i did not say african american), I was offended by the Imus comment, however I dont need Al sharpton to step up and speak for me or any other black woman for that matter. They over do it, and somehow always manage to make it all about themselves. The real issue is the Rutgers Ladies basketball team, and Vivian Stringer, not Al Sharpton or his daughter. I too fire you, and say to you shut up, and let us speak for ourselves, besides no one needs to apologize to Sharpton they need to be apologizing to the Rutgers Ladies Basketball Team, the Entire student body, and Vivian Stringer!!!!!

Well they did a Good Job on getting Imus, Suspended, about him getting Fired, Jeese and AL may have to Boycott NBC, GE, CBS and the Corporation that represent that network.
