Anyone who is responsible and working toward their goals and at least realizing some of them. There are also the "ultra-successful" people (say, Steve Jobs and others) but they are rare. If you have what you really need and you are working for more (love, fun, security, things, money whatever), that is success.

BTW, I don't consider the "famous" like Paris Hilton successful. They're just grotesque.

a successful person is someone that can sit there and know they have nothing and act like they have everything. someone that if grateful for the little things in life and don't get mad when they only have the small things. they appreciate everything
