Be sure when you're promoting your site in forums that you're not breaking their rules for self promotion. Many forums discourage people from joining for the sole purpose of promoting their sites and may even turn you into your ISP for spam. Only join forums you will participate in and follow their rules for promoting your site.
You should have your URL as part of your signature in any forum you participate in, as well as in your email signature
You should have your url and contact information on a business card that you can hand out whenever the occasion arises. Print up your own, or better still, visit http://www.vistaprint.com/ - they have many good free choices for business cards.

Check the forums on Etsy. Not only is there a promotional forum where you can talk about your store, but there are also a lot of suggestions on how to promote.
Trade business cards with other crafters and other etsy members. There's usually someone trying to trade business cards on the etsy forums. See if you can find somewhere in your area that will let you leave a flyer or business cards.
Start a Blog. Lots of etsy members say they get a lot of traffic from their craft blog.

Etsy listings do show up on search engines, so just write your descriptions with lots of good searchable keywords. That's the best promotion you can do.
