I am doing a research paper on Music Therapy. What came to mind while researching this topic was the fact that some people wear their MP3 players everywhere. So what I am trying to find out is why? Is it for looks? Is it so they have ready access to their music at all times? Or is it for other reasons? Tell me your reasons.

I usually have my mp3 player with me for several reasons.

1. If it's in my pocket, I know where it is and I don't have to worry about it getting stolen (because I left it on my desk etc.)

2. I bought it both because I love music and I need to excercise more so I take advantage of it when I go on a long walk.

I felt a little weird at first because I did suddenly fit in with the "crowd" when I had it with me, but I don't notice that now. I'm not concerned with appearances.

I think that it's an easy way to listen to music wherever you want. Some people like to wear them a certain way to look stylish, but I don't think a lot of people wear them just for looks. If you wear an MP3 you're probably going to listen to music some time in the day.
