If you mean a devil as THE DEVIL, then there is no such thing.
Devil as in someone really really cruel, then yes, they are here and want to stay to continue their misfits.

I think hes trying to stay! Wouldn't you the all the people who are following him and so many people to influence and drag down everyday. He seems to be doing a great job and having lots of fun would you leave?

He is trying to get in every home he can, to destroy it. He knows he is doomed, and can"t get out, so he is trying to take everybody he can with him. There is no escape for the devil. He is defeted, detained, and doomed.

My personal feeling is he is trying to get out!
if you believe in this sort of thing the only reason anyone commits a crime was because they were influenced by the devil.
this being the case i think they weren't strong enough to hold back his power
