The Maracyn 2 will take time to work. Popeye is a serious infection that actually starts in the fish's liver and is really hard to treat once it's advanced. It may take 2-3 days for you to see improvement, so hang in there and hope he has enough time left to recover.

Don't worry, bettas take time to heal up. I would really suggest you check the water conditions (temperature, ph, chlorine...etc) to see why he has such a low immune system. For Fin rot I use Bettafix remedy which *I* personally think is pretty good and fast @ healing the fins. I've never met with popeye and you can try going to the pet store and get medication especially made for popeye (should say on the bottle). Also try giving them lots of water changes, I know people might say that this will stress them out more, but since clean water is quite important for them too...
Good luck!

Do at least a 25% water change. Try Melafix according to the instructions. Helps alot. If you have him in an unfiltered setting, you might want to replace his tank with a filtered situation. Fish swimming around in their own ammonia and other debris often develope problems like you mentioned.

Water changes would be the best thing at this point and you can add aquarium salt as well. This will help him to stress less because it helps him 'breath' better. It will also help heal the fin rot. If he is in a bowl make sure you have good aration going while using those meds and that you use the proper dosage. Good luck and I hope he pulls through.

i'm able to't tell from that photo no matter in the adventure that your Betta is stricken by fin rot or no longer. At any fee, fin rot is maximum often led to by using rigidity and undesirable water high quality, both one among that were in all probability modern-day in his delivery adventure. i do not favor to apply drugs except they're fairly needed. If I were you, i'd enhance his temperature as a lot as about 80 2 stages, keep his water sparkling, and keep a watch on his fins. in case you word better deterioration, perchance drugs is so as. so a strategies as i have heard, waterlife myxazin is threat-free for use on Bettas. (it is going to also turn your water blue...) i'm wondering it ought to't be used with shrimp. i'm no longer effective about snails. i'd examine before dosing. sturdy good fortune.

I agree with MM here. Give him a few days. It does take more than one day for the meds to take effect.
ONLY do a water change if the instructions say to. Also remember if he is in a filtered tank to remove the carbon or your meds will be pulled out.

Your betta needs a partial water change. Give him dried krill in his diet and maybe a water plant.
