how much to fix this on a 97 ford taurus?

You mean the rubber gasket on the reservoir cover? Go to your auto parts store, they have them for 5 bucks, and you can change it easily yourself...

If you mean the piston seal on the master cylinder, the master cylinder should be replaced, about $100 to $150 total.

If you're leaking fluid, a gasket won't help.
It'll just leak out somewhere else.

Replace your master cylinder.

ADDED:
Make SURE you "bench bleed" it too to get all the air out of it before installing the new one..
