Typically kindergarteners are 5 years old (sometimes 4, sometimes 6). So as a general rule, take the grade and add 5 to find the age. 12th grade is the highest grade in high school, after which you can go to college or university if you want to. It's supposed to take 4 years to get a Bachelor's degree, but some people take longer.

Although there is some variance , generally , 1st grade is about 6 years old , and 12th ( high school graduates) are about 18 . College mostly starts at about 19 years old , but many older people are returning to college so there is a wider age range there .

k thru 5 and middleschool and then highschool and then college after highschool
