I'm not frugal at all. But then I'm sensible. I never consider the cost of a reasonable gift. I ask myself if it is a fitting gift, would the person like it, would the person use it and does the person need it. If all these come together then it's a done deal. I'm also sensible in knowing that I couldn't afford a luxury item such as a new SUV. If I had that kind of money I'd be buying all of you a new car. I love to give gifts of any kind. I usually get more enjoyment out of it than the recipient does.

I'm not that big of a gift giver. I usually just do gifts on birthdays and Christmas. But when I do, I go a bit over the top.
I usually spend $20-$40 on kids and $30-$60 on adults. I tend to spend way too much on my husband ($100 or more)...but it's always something he's been wanting for a while.
I just really try to get people what I know they will like instead of basing the gift on the price. So if I see a really nice dress for my niece that I know she'll be adorable in, I would not be opposed to spending $50 on it.

I guess i'm more frugal! Sometimes the homemade or well thought out cheaper gift means more and is remembered longer than big expensive gifts! Besides if you always give big expensive gifts people start to expect it!

I don't have enough money to by *myself* clothes on a regular basis. I don't give gifts, I apologize profusely, hug and kiss my loved ones, and recieve gifts. I cry a little, and then I get a pat on the back.

Now I'm sad. If I had money, I'd spend about $20 bucks per gift.

I love to give gifts. I would not say that I am frugal about it, though. If I see something that I know someone would love, I buy it.

It depends on how much I like the person who invited me. If I know they just invited me to something just for a gift, it's about $20. It goes up from there depending on if they stay in touch and how long we've been friends.

Gift giving is a Science and my mother has a PHD. It is not how much you spend, it is how can you surprise a person with a simple little thing they were not expecting.
