Good question. I think men are now afraid of saying *anything* to women and that's sad because some of my best friendships in my 20s were with men who started our friendship with a little flirt and then it matured into genuine care for one another.

Yes, it certainly is a consideration. Not that I think the recipient of the good deed would have a problem with it, he knows me very well. It's the jealous cows in the department. Automatically, I am 'up to no good'...absolutely untrue.

This has become a very serious issue in the working world, what I call the 'loser clause' in the harrassment laws. Allowing every jealous bone head in creation to make trouble where it doesn't otherwise exist. Sickening.

I'm not, but the fear of sexual harassment is more real for the men. I think it has damaged the relationship to some extent. Men where I work are constantly monitoring what they say or apologizing.

Doing something nice and sexual harassment are 2 different things. You can be nice without fearing this.

No i'm not scared to do something nice. Just last week, I adjusted my co workers thong for her because it was too visible when she sat down. All I did was reach down into her pants and adjusted it a little. She thanked me graciously.

This morning my coworker kept patting my shoulders and saying good work. I didn't take offense because he's foreign and I'm pretty sure it's just cultural.
People need to calm down.

I can't answer this question, I don't work.
I hope that my husband is thinking about that. I don't want him to be fired. It took him too long to get the job

Never be afraid to do something nice for anyone. DO be aware that "hands on" helping COULD be misconstrued.
