A few years ago my husband died, unfortunately he was in another country when it happened, a few days before Xmas I caught a taxi after discovering that I could not get access to any money at the bank, I was so devastated and the taxi driver was so nice I poured my heart out, on Xmas morning my 2 little girls and I were woken by the sound of a hand bell, there in the garden stood the taxi driver in full Santa outfit with a bag of toys, food and a small amount of cash, my girls eyes were wide as saucers as they looked out of their bedroom window, they really believed he was Santa and for the first time since their Dad had died they smiled, he left the stuff and went before we could even say thank you

My friend had my son while my hubby and i went into hospital at 2am. I was not well and he even toke time off work the next day to have my son while i was still in. What a lovely Friend i have. :) There are a few things in life people have done which are generous i.e i have heart surgery when i was 11 months old and that saved my life so my surgeon i am very grateful of otherwise i would never have had my two lovely boys.

My daughter Pays for our holidays everytime we visit South-Africa. She also insists on paying for food, we have free accommodation and anything else i would want. She is the most generous, most fabulous, sweetest girl in the world. I love her to pieces.

I had a woman who has seven children of her own, and didn't know me from anyone watch two of my children overnight while my husband and I were at the hospital having our third baby. That was truly generous and something I will never forget.
How do you get a thumbs down for answering a question like this?
This woman didn't know me when she took my children in for two days. She just took them in, fed them, housed them and took care of them like they were her own. We were really new to town and even though I have family in the area, they took off when I went into labor. I think this woman is really awesome and I can't believe someone gave me thumbs down. Geez. Grow a heart.
"Took off" meaning: they (my aunt and uncle, whom I we were staying with, went on a camping trip, yeah, great family, huh?)

The warmth and love that my parents/family members have given me, no matter what have they done, slipped here and there but in the end, i am grateful to them for making me their daughter. For partly shaping the person i am today. I'm thankful for everything that they have done for me.
