If your Kickstand comes down a little bit the bike will automatically shut off for saftey reasons, my first bike used to do that just get a bungie and rig it up. Also make sure your gas switch is on the on position if it is on reserve it might shut off to keep from breaking the fuel pump. Cuz if the bike starts and rides it sounds like it might be something simple. it really sound like you kickstand it coming down a little while your in gear, or that your gas isnt turned on or you have a loose engine on/off swtich, But if not it can be your carbs or ignition system, or maybe even a a bad clutch. The "bank angle" sensor has been known to turn off that model's ignition for no apparent reason. It may need replacing.
The bank angle sensor is a safety feature on sport bikes. In the event of a crash, the sensor detects that the bike has been laid down and cuts off the ignition and fuel pump.
