the doctor instructed me to start my first pack on the wrong day. Its supposed to be taken the sunday after the period starts, but I couldn't make an appointment till then and she said to take it the next sunday which was a week after my period had been over.

period = Mon, March 19th
started pills = april 1st, sunday
My Next period = sun, April 21st.

Pills are 28 pack and will be over on April 28th. (the green inactive ones are from april 22-28th)

My cycle is 34 days long.. but may change to 28 because the pills are 28, it may or may come early or later than april 21st.

When do I start taking my next pill pack? If I have any active ones left can I keep them or do I throw them out?

You take one pill each day at the same time of day.

Your last pill on April 28th, your new pill pack will be on April 29th.

Always begin the second pack the day after you finish the last placebo pill in the first pack, no matter what your period is (or isn't) doing. Your cycle will likely be a little thrown off at first while the Pill hormones try to regulate it, but that will pass. Missing days increases your chance of getting pregnant.

If you still have active pills left when you start bleeding, keep taking all of the active pills as scheduled and finish your pack. Breakthrough bleeding is common with the pill.

When I started the Pill, my situation was similar to yours. I started the Pill a week after my period had ended, and my period started again during the third week of active pills. The doctor said to keep taking the pills as normal, that the hormones would regulate my cycle within a month or two. Truthfully, I bled for two weeks straight. :( But since then, my periods have come right on schedule (during placebo pills). I hope this helped...good luck.

You can always take all the active ones and then start the next pack of active pills. It may throw your period off at first but it would get you in a rutine that will eventually work itself out. My friends doctor actually suggested that she take the months pack instead of taking a week off to keep her from having her period on her honeymoon. Contact your doctor's office to be sure that's what they are there for to answer any questions you may have concerning your health and prescribed meds.

at the starting up you commence taking it on the top of your era it really is what my physician instructed me and that i had no problems with bleeding in between. end the %. your on....and once the bleeding stops commence on a similar %. lower back from the day it stopped. in many circumstances the first month isnt so precise because it takes a month before the pill easily works. Dont take the pill at the same time as youve began bleeding...you may also only bypass to the sugar pills on the day that's then only keep persevering with round which will end you from having your era lower back once you do attain the sugar pills.. wish it really is functional...in case you aare nonetheless stuck i like to recommend you calling your GP and asking their suggestion.
