Well, everyone mentioned the Catalytic Converter, which this is the problem I would say.
But, if it is not, the other can actually be in the vent in front of your windshield. Sometimes, not often, a little critter manages to get through the vents and die, causing a very bad Oder. Just wanted to add something different, though it probably is the Catalytic Converter, but, a dead mouse would have been cheaper to fix.

better be checking the cat.sounds to me like the cat is clogging up with you.it smells like sulfur,or rotton eggs.

quit farting in it as for the check eng light go to advance auto or autozone have them check it for free free free

catalyic converter is getting plugged up, time to replace it.
