I believe that Imus should suspened for a month. That way his ratings will be affected.
But don't miss the ball here. Let's call 50 cent and Tyra and others on their usage of the words.

Tyra is a brainless twit. She tries to use street talk but it sounds weird when she uses it. I agree with you. There are some things that don't need to be said. I don't care who says it.

That is the point, why is it that Don Imus is being chastised yet others such as Tyra and rappers such as Ice Cube or comedians such as Chris Rock don't get raked over the coals for saying the same thing. It is a double standard. Since Don Imus is being suspended, then everyone else that is in the media spotlight that use that language should be affected as well.

The FCC has been out to lunch on this very problem. There is too much money being made so they have let this language slide.

I say no one gets to slide on this. Imus, Howard Stern and others that have been doing this should get strict reprimands and put a stop to all this put down for the sake of laughs and money.

It seems we enjoy watching other people getting the digs and we laugh about it as long as it isn't us.

And I don't think that the black community has license either to say the "N" word. Before they start expressing their pain they need to get with their brothers and sisters and clean up their act. But don't hold your breath because they fall back on "Freedom of Speech".

Hmmm. I thought we still had freedom of speech? When did it get taken from us? Tyra is a real person who lives in the real world. She uses real language. If it is offensive, then why not use your head & change the channel or push the button that says OFF? Suspending performers or their shows is like High School mentality. The PMRC has done enough already! It's time to let your fingers do the walking! Especially if you are a parent. Take charge & don't hate!

There is a difference beteween Tyra and Inus. Tyra is saying that their hair is nappy or my hair is nappy and people of color at one point and time have nappy hair. Inus called those young women and I quote "Some nappy hoes."
50 Cent and other rappers call women hoes in their songs all the time. If you don't want to hear that you can do one of these three things or both, 1. buy the edited cd or 2. don't listen to his songs or 3. buy his his cd
So where do you see the comparsion between Inus and Tyra?

double standards exist.. honest? No.. that's completely wonderful for one team to apply language approximately itself and not ok for every physique else to apply that language??? If that's not ok for every physique else to declare some thing, why is it ok for every physique to apply that be conscious. From right here on out, i think that purely white human beings might desire to be waiting to utter the be conscious "CRACKER". all of the different minorities will basically might desire to ask for an accoutrement for their soup or salad or cheese slices utilising a be conscious that doesn't offend ME. If Zesta and Krispy and all of the different manufacturers choose to sell their product to minorities, they're going to might desire to apply much less offensive language of their packaging. From this factor forward, purely white human beings might desire to purchase crackers.. do you notice how ridiculous that's??? good god, human beings.. recover from it!

It's hypocritical and probably racist as well. Everyone knows this, but no one's willing to stand up to the great Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton that are glorified in the media. If anyone stands up to them they'll be villified in the media, and suffer public embarassment.

The real problem here is that if an african american had a show and called a team full of white people "hardcore cracka @$$ crackas" nothing would be said, because people would realize it was satire.
