Hi
My S40 is suddenly behaving really strangely! It keeps cutting off every time I go into the first gear - meaning every time i have to make a turn, or at the roundabout or at a traffic light - really annooying. And it wouldn't start if I don't give it a bit of gas. Took it to the shop twice - they hooked it to the computer and could find nothing! Help!
What can it be?

1) Vacuum line came of the intake somewhere and is sucking air.
Look and listen for a sucking noise where a small hose is supose to go.

2) EGR is getting stuck open.

there's a cutting-edge drain on your battery. both the battery's had it or some thing contained in the vehicle isn't switching off once you lock the vehicle. I had an similar snag and it became out the boot mild wasn't switching off because of a defective contact. it really is worth getting someone to envision it out. an electric powered examine is often about £30. sturdy success.

Check the link I attatched. Very good information. You might want to read the link before trying my solution.

What year is the car anyways? Is it still under warranty?
