Largely animals kill animals for one of two reasons: 1) for food; 2) environmental or niche competition. Since animals haven't made up a model of god, or good and evil, they don't burn in hell for killing. More likely since they share a planet with us they are already in hell.

Firstly animals don't KILL each other like humans would commit murder. It is necessary for their survival both to protect their communities and for food. According to the bible animals cannot go to hell as they do not have an immortal soul so I wouldn't worry.
As humans I do think that we should protect the other species on the planet from extinction and exploitation, but this does not include interfering with food chains. By the demolition of the rainforest humans are erasing species of animals from existance everyday. Is that not a bigger sin?

If you believe in Hell, then you should take the time to read through Leviticus. Much of this is covered there.

Beware, the Old Testament does not have a great deal of respect for animal rights...regardless of who does the killing.

Oh...and anyone believing that animals do not torture or kill for pleasure should simply watch a well-fed domestic cat on the hunt. If you're a bunny fan, it could get gruesome!

Animals kill each other to eat.

I think God can forgive them for wanting to keep their bellies full. They do not kill out of pride, jealousy, anger, hurt, or greed.

These are the sins that send one to hell. Not the act itself, but the selfish feeling behind the act.

Although I am aware that some animals kill when they are threatened as well, I think the law of self-defense also keeps one out of hell.

PS--Crazy...I've never been to Sacramento, but I still know it's there. It is a man-made thing. Some of us, strangely, prefer hell to heaven. We prefer falling to rising.

Humans are made in God's image. Not physically, but spiritually. Our souls are what is similar to God. Animals don't have souls. Heaven is our souls being with God. Hell is separation from God. In a strict sense, since animals don't have souls, they will remain separated from God and in hell. But the same is true if they don't kill other animals.

you say animals kill for food but you have not taken us into account. we are animals. are we not classified as mammals? animals fight over being the alpha male and sometimes kill each other. this is life. we have gotten so smart that we have created ways to equalize all people and that is against human nature. religion being one of the equalizer's. it helps those weak of mind, feel stronger by giving them a reason to live. thus the creation of heaven and hell. we all kill each other. when you are dead you are dead.

Usually, animals are incapable of knowing right from wrong. They know what will help them survive and what won't. One won't be sent to hell without the ability to discern right from wrong.

Animals kill for survival of the species, with no malice. They are not guilty of murder. Not knowing evil, are innocent of sin, and held guiltless.
