I can't walk through a clothing store and see a piece of clothing that has fallen off a hanger onto the floor, and just leave it there. I have to pick it up. As retarded as it sounds, I feel bad for it. It deserves to be back on the rack and get its fair share of attention, not be stepped on and disregarded.
Why??
Yea, I know. Issues--probably enough to buy a pychiatrist a Porshe. I guess some things I'll never truly understand and I guess thats OK.

Well, when I'm in a store browsing-esp with someone else who is looking, I tend to straighten the shelves. I can't stand to be in a store that's a mess, so if I'm standing there waiting for a friend to pick out a shirt, I'll straighten out the racks until we're ready to move on. Weird, but who does it harm? Nobody. Don't worry about your quirk!
