When you think about it, is that really a bad thing when you're older? Others do accept worse things than that.

You are not the only one here who do that, but instead of getting candy, I get toys from strangers.

Dear Georgie Girl

Strangers offering you candy want sex. Sex is fun, but risky. Anybody might catch an STD, but only girls can get pregnant. Early pregnancy cuts a girl's chances of making the best possible marriage, getting the best possible education, and having the best possible career. Motherhood can be a good thing, but if you are not ready for it, with knowledge, money, and maturity, it can prevent you from ever getting them.

Be careful - sometimes the stranger will slip something into the "candy" to make you more willing to risk your future for some fun today.

See the Drew Barrymore movie, "Riding in Cars With Boys."

There is a man who walks around our small town giving candy to everyone he meets. He is nice in every way, not at all nasty. He had a stroke several years ago, and he tells everyone that in that event God told him to show love to one and all. Candy is the way he does that. Everyone in town is kind to him and accepts his candy with thanks. I know the man's name, but I don't really know him--so yes, under some circumstances it's OK to accept candy from strangers.
(of course this is a small Southern town...that makes a difference)

To me, the worst thing that could have happened is the candy could be laced with some drug that could really mess you up or even kill you. That scares me so I don't eat candy from strangers.

You seem like an immature ignorant 17 to be taking candy from strangers. You need to go have that safety talk with your Mother again......

You are of legal age, but just know up front that the person giving you the candy may want something more than to just please a kids sweet tooth. Be careful.

No, it is not OK. There are all kinds of perverts out there waiting for sweet little gals like you to get close enough for them to nab. Be careful, sweetie.

As long as the candy is wraped tightly ( unlike me...haha ), then I'd say it's ok. Save some for me, will ya?

Just don't hurt yourself. Not sure what you mean by the question, but that is the point in not taking such things.
