Basically social anxiety is just your Fight or flight response kicking in. What you are describing is similar to petting a random animal just because you know it wont hurt you does not mean it can't. It is an adrenaline rush that you feel because your fight or flight response is on even with people you are comfortable with. The thing is your "In a good way" feeling is triggered by your fight reaction. It is kind of working like a natural stimulant for you (giving you a natural high) much like some people and cigarettes but in your case there is nothing to worry about. Anxiety is just when you get a little to much of this adrenaline and become overwhelmed.
Some people get a kick out of extreme sports yours comes from talking with people enjoy it.

I have social anxiety too and I like adrenhaline rushes but not anxiety. I guess in a way it feels similar but when I get surges of anxiety it sometimes feels like there is pins and neddles all over my body it almost hurts and makes me feel sick. Adrenhalines rushes feel similar because they rush or surge through your body like what anxiety does. Social anxiety really sucks I hate it.

That's just being human. Approaching someone who you don't know triggers a fight-or-flight response in you, preparing for possible hostility. It's mother nature's way of preparing you to struggle for your own personal survival, and also of rewarding you if you survive (adrenaline rushes feel good, don't they?).

I have read some litterature about panic attacks. But they allways seem to have a more scientific approach and that is nothing I need in my struggle to survive those horrible panic attacks. This is a "hand on" and very practical book. I felt it was written to me. I am sure that you are going to feel the same.

Joe Barry writes exactly how I think. The examples are perfectly described. And the method is genius. I recommend this book and thanks Joe Barry for writing it. It changes your life
