I don't listen to Imus, I find him very arrogant and obnoxious. With that said I think he really screwed up by saying what he did. Sharpton & Jackson are having a field day, they live for this. What irrates me is how hypocritical they are. When someone calls Condi Rice names, they look the other way because shes conservative. Atleast Imus said what he said was wrong and he apologized. Alot of the liberal Democrats when apologizing for something they said, always say if they offended someone they are sorry, meaning that they are not really sorry.

What black leaders have you recently heard sayng that the races should seperarte. I mean specificly, who said what? Please share with the rest of us. I do not want to hear what you heard someone else say they heard.; bec ause you know what fabrications are conjoured from all of that. Don't you? I want to hear what you have heard directly out of the mouths of these leaders. Please give a date as well.
Moreover, we all belong to one race, the human race. As Americans, all of us are mixed with several races. Remember we belong to that great big melting pot. That is what makes America so strong.
I think the Imus thing is just further proof that what is in your eart, will spit out of your mouth. You should make sure your heart is pure. The more you know about other races, the less likely you will be to judge someone just by their race.
Judge the content of people's mids and hearts. I just can not believe that here we are seven years after the milleninum, and somepne is still talking about seperation of the races? How is that even possible?
What about the predominately black gated communities? They are predominately black because that is just the people that have chose to live there in that neighborhood. You are very welcome. Here in America you can live wherever you can afford.
I live in a predominately Jewish community, there are several Asians, Africans, Mexicans, Lebanese, and Caucasions here in Atlanta. You name it, we seem to have it. I love it because of the diversity. We are all great neighbors. Moreover the school , public school has found a way to celebrate all the races. It is great, our children are all learning the history of all the countries and how to celebrate their differences.

What it is, is more proof that the races are drastically different in every way, that these differences are natural, that no matter what anyone will ever do they will always exist, and that they're only controllable to a degree. White people don't talk any worse about black people than black people do about white people. Want some proof? Listen to the rap station out of NYC sometime, or do a google search for "african-american blogs/forums." Blacks are just as bad as whites, but in our politically-correct world the only time this issue gets any attention is when a white person does it.
A black rapper puts out a song with the word "ni*ger" in it, and nobody says anything. A white guy puts out a song with that word in it, and the next thing you know Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the ACLU and the NAACP are all over the news decrying the "racist comments" of the white guy.
Not to justify it, but the actor from "Seinfeld" gets up on stage and makes a fool out of himself by using that word, and he gets roasted alive for it. Chris Rock gets up on stage and uses the same word in much the same way, and nobody says anything. Why is that, anyway?
On the flip side, a black comedian gets up on stage and uses the term "redneck" and the white people get offended, but when Jeff Foxworthy does the same thing nobody says anything. Why is that, anyway?
The "why" is simple: human nature. It's OK for one group to make fun of themselves because they know they don't mean any insult, but when someone else does it, it ain't funny because the intent is not clear and people always assume the worst.
Like it or not, human nature can't be changed - the races are going to naturally separate into groups, because as the old saying goes, "birds of a feather flock together." There's a lot of truth in that, and folks just better get with it and realize that.
To paraphrase Morgan Freeman, I'll be glad when people stop categorizing things by black and white; when he is referred to as "an Oscar-winning actor" and not "an Oscar-winning black actor," I'll be one happy puppy.

For every "Black-only" gated community there are about a 100 "White-only" gated communities in the US.

I think people probably had better manners back in the day when dueling was popular.
Maybe the reinstatement of that ancient tradition would benefit us all.

have you seen all the mixed marriages lately? I don't think we're moving towards segregation at all - not by a long shot.
