No, her father was black but NOT Chuck Berry! Her father was a hospital attendant name Jerome Berry.
What do you mean by pro? Pro actress, yes, pro as in hooker, no, never. She has been so broke she had to resort to living in a homeless shelter when she was in Chicago and couldn't afford rent, but she has never prositituted herself (unless you count having onscreen sex with skany Billy Bob Thornton in "Monster's Ball, for which she won an Oscar as "Best Supporting Actress". Who wouldn't deserve an Oscar if they were able to successfully portray on film that they might actually enjoy having sex with that putrid skank of man!).
