Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
The Liberals feel that only they have the right to free speech
they take jokes and opinions as facts.... that's why they are so mislead
they are a waste of the oxygen they are trying to save
we would have plenty of oxygen if they would shut up!!
not saying they dint have the right to speak ...
i just wish that when they did speak something use full and logical wold come out!
Liberals have such enthusiasm...
if they would use that enthusiasm to practice what they preach get a job and stop killing babies
the united states would benefit greatly!

I'm a conservative, and think Al Sharpton is a horse's a**.
But that doesn't mean he's always wrong.
Imus' comments were very hurtful.
He has every right to say them without being arrested by the government.
But others have a right to react to the statements, and stop listening, or protest.
Imus is a washed-up old coot anyway. And he went for Kerry in 2004! So who says he's a conservative? Let the Dems claim him.

Yes, they believe they are the only ones protected by the 1st Amendment. It is the same double-standard that says it's okay for minorities to say the N-word or tell racial jokes, but whites can't. Liberals can make racist comments all they want, but they're generally immune from being labeled racist.
Conservativisim is fundamentally linked to realism and rational thought. Their subsequent bluntness and straight-forward expressions are misinterpreted by racists as being racially motivated.
One example: I'm of Italian heritage and from NY, but if I see a group of male 20-40 year old Italians drive up in large town cars wearing suits, and go into a restaurant in Little Italy, I'd think I wonder if they're "connected." It's not racism, it's common sense based on the history of Italians in NY and their reputation propagated by stuff like The Sopranos. NY Italians do talk like that, they do say how you doin and fuggedaboutit, and a lot of them used to be "connected." Get over it.
Stereotypes by liberals are punchlines; stereotypes by conservatives are common sense interpreted by liberals as racism...
Josh, I love the fact you're complaining about his typos, but don't know proper English yourself. The correct sentence would read ...illegal aliens who know English... "That" is used to refer to objects, not people.
ACLU? You mean the American Communist Liberals United?

Actually I don't think it has anything to do with the liberals, it's the PC police you have to watch out for the fact that they are card carrying ACLU socialist democrats is just a coincidence.

What language are you writing in? The First Amendment is for all people. With every freedom there is a responsibility. Freedom of Speech implies a reasonable use of the freedom. For example, I am free to speak, but to shout "Fire" in a crowded church or theater, when there is no fire, is an improper use of my freedom.
A lot of political discourse is right on the limit of reasonable and responsible.

Nice try troll. You're trying to imply that Imus is a conservative, masked behind some double standard argument. Imus is not conservative and was wrong in what he said. Now, he has been punished for his actions...but where the true bias comes in is that his "punishment" is nowhere near the punishment a true conservative talk show host would face had they done the same.

The first amendment protects us from government censorship. It does not protect a corporation from firing you because you said something that's going to hurt their bottom line, profits.

It's pretty sad when the only response you get from liberals is "use your spell check". They can't even answer your question.
Anyway, you are correct. Liberals only care about themselves. God forbid if anyone else has an opinion.

Liberals worry about what feels good and what is nice. When people speak their minds, they open themselves up to criticism.
Listen to Bill O'reilly. He dosen't let that happen.
