The record for fastest century in the world cup was held by J.M. Davison of Canada against West Indies at Centurion
on 23.02.2003 prior to this world cup.
However in the current World Cup his record of century in 67 balls has been broken by M.L. Hayden of Australia when he scored a century in 66 balls against South Africa at St. Kitts on 24.03.2007.
