I don't have an answer to your Q. Just want to tell you your not alone. I never have the volume on an odd number....it makes me feel restless for some reason. I suppose it's a symptom of perfectionism.

I have the same problem; I feel uneasy w/ anything associated w/ the numbers 6 or 13 b/c they've been linked to "evil" I know that it's silly for me to obsess about it, but anything 6 or 13, or anything that I can easlily add, subtract, multiply or divide to get those numbers, I avoid. For instance, if I'm at a 116, I'll add 1+1+6 so that I won't feel like it's evil and it's an 8. Point is, you're not alone w/ your numbers obsession. I also count everything, if my count is at 6 or 13, I do one more to get it to the next number, w/ whatever I'm doing for instance, cutting veggies.. Yeah, I know, I'm a nut.. And this is me even WITH anxiety meds.. woah nelly.

It just sounds like you picked up a superstitious attitude toward them from somewhere. You should try to think about how this started in order to overcome it.

Sounds like OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder). You should go see a doctor so you can treat the condition before it gets worse and starts interfering with your life.
