I haven't personally, but a co-worker of mine has. She was extremely ill during her first trimester and also could not keep down water. She did get dehydrated and needed IV fluids at one point during her early pregnancy. She also had problems with fainting since she was so hungry.
She took the pills without any adverse affects and while she wasn't totally better, she was able to drink and eat bland foods. At first, she was wary of taking them, but then was glad that she did.
She is now expecting her second. As soon as she learned she was pregnant, her OB immediately put her on the medication again. This time around she is having a much easier time since she isn't worn out from the lack of nutrients or from the dehydration.

I took the sea sickness pills too - they are fine. Just be careful with the dosing - take the amount they tell you or less (never more).
And hang on... my morning sickness started fading around 10 weeks....As far as the isotonic drinks, that is good too. Try going to a health food store and getting ginger caplets too - they are an herb that will not affect the medicines or your pregnancy in any way and that could help the nausea too.
Just make sure you don't get dehydrated...that can be dangerous for you and the baby...
GOOD LUCK!

I am 25 weeks pregnant and have been very sick since i was about 8 weeks into it. I have been hospitalized and been put on IVs. The doctor prescribed me Zofran and let me tell you it has been my saving grace. The ultrasounds show that the baby is very active and the proper size. I have had extensive blood work done and nothing is abnormal. I was very scared to take it at first but after all the testing and all the people that have commented on how active my baby is I am no longer worried. Give the medicine a try. Try to fight the sickness as long as you can but if you arent able to keep water and food down after a little while then try the medicine. Your baby needs food and water. Good luck.

Oh you poor dear! Try nibbling on a ginger snap cookie before you even get out of bed.
Yes, I used anti naseau pills for a very short time after I was hospitalized for dehydration.
Your local health food store should have a number of herbal teas with ginger & other natural ingredients that help with pregnancy related morning sickness.
Also look on-line for Earth Mama Angel Baby Morning Wellness tea. It is wonderful & helped me with my morning sickness. I don't think I would have had a healthy pregnancy without this tea.
Look at various grocery stores for dried or crystalized ginger, it should be in with the raisins. You can suck on crystalized ginger to help settle your stomach.
If you are losing weight, you health care provider should give you even more prescription options so you can stop losing weight and feel better. Ask about the presciption vitamins with lots of vitamin B to help ease morning sickness, they really work!
Best of Luck!

My morning sickness was horrible. I was throwing up so much, I actually lost weight during my pregnancy. I never took pills though. If you are getting dehydrated though, that will harm your baby. Take the pills only if you need to. Your baby's health and well being is the most important thing right now

If your Doc has prescribed them, and you have sought a second opinion, then they should be OK. Like you say, it is important to eat, and not to get dehydrated too, while at this stage of pregnancy so I would take them. I had nausea and lost my appetite and I nearly ended up on a drip in hospital which wouldn't have been good for a growing baby.

Sometimes all the little tricks of the trade (small frequent meals, crackers, etc.) just don't work. It is important to keep your health up during pregnancy. If you can't even keep water down, it is important to try the pills. Lots of women take them. Dehydration will land you in the hospital quick! Hopefully your nausea will subside, or at least lessen in the coming weeks. Best of luck to you.

My friend is taking them right now. She got so dehydrated that she ended up in the hospital over night. They told her she had to eat and drink. So she is taking the medicine. It is safe for the baby. They wouldn't percribe it otherwise.
Please be careful. Also, you can try ginger tea. It is supposed to help with the nausea too. I drank lots of that when I was pregnant.

The so-called anti -sickness pills are really motion sickness pills. Not a problem for the average person to take them for 5 days or less.
