What should be some goals for the President and other Republicans to accomplish NOW so that we can win in 2008?

Great question! I wish I had a better answer.

I'd say, simply, stick to our principles, educate others, and get a good candidate.

I generally support Bush, but his record on spending and immigration is awful. I like his tax policy and his choice of judges. He's made mistakes in Iraq but I still think he at least dealt with the problems rather than kicking the can down the road. (Maybe if Saddam was still there, we'd be dealing with a nuclear Iran AND a nuclear Iraq! Remember the nuclear reactor Israel blew up? No serious person thinks Saddam would ever have abandoned his ambitions.)

And we need a good, strong conservative with vision, values, character and experience.

I fear we may have a very, very hard time this election cycle. I hope I'm wrong.

No. As annoying as issues are on the national and international point, now, they are no longer something whilst in comparison with the early Sixties, whilst the chilly war replace into at that's height (so the persevered existance of the international replace into litterally at stake), and social upheaval replace into occurring domestically. Electing an green presidency then have been given us the Bay of Pigs, Cuban Missle disaster, Vietnam, etc. on the instant, we are nonetheless reeling from a number of that stuff. yet, the country and the international survived, and it will very very nearly truly stay to tell the story inspite of ways undesirable a call (and, enable's settle for it, that's not like there /are/ any good possibilities) we make for President this time around.

The conservatives must put as much time and distance possible between themselves and the leader of their party, Bush.

Bush and Cheney must resign immediately.
Allow the stench to clear from the noses of voters before the next election.

Let the congress select Bush and Cheney's replacement. The Republicans should run those candidates for the 2008 elections.

Short of this, there is no hope for saving the republican party.

Do it now!

It should not be about winning but what is good for our country. We have the guy in office now who's only criteria was that he was "electable." I'd rather conservatives lost than put another scoundral in the White House just because he is '"electable."

Something that the Bush administration has not accomplished in 6 years, make sense.

We need to vote off the RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) currently in office and replace them with true conservative individuals and ideas.

I supported the president, but unfortunately he squandered the opportunity when the Republican party had the majority. He pandered to the left and most "Republican" legislators sold out the American people for money. Although I "support" the war, I do feel the President should permit our solders to crush our enemies with all the power we possess. Why not use the greatest military power the world has ever seen? Why does he send our kids to fight house to house instead of unleashing our power? Is he afraid of what his enemies will say about him? Does he not posses the leadership our solders deserve?

We will never "WIN" the war if we engage in street to street fighting. Iraq has different factions that have never gotten along, and never will. SO why are we trying to fix this problem?

Don’t we have enough problems in the United States for us to focus our attention to?

Right now bush is imposing jail sentences on our solders based on testimony of our enemies. Can anyone tell me whose side he is actually on? Why does he impose such strict rules of engagement on our solders? Why doesn't he arrest and detain illegal aliens jumping over the border? Why is the government selling our strategic American companies to our enemies?

Thank you mr. president, thank you republican party!

So what do we have to do, well first off we need to contact our representatives and push them to become more conservative. We need them, to fight back against bush and the demon-cratic agenda. If they will not fight the just war, then we should vote them out and get people who will. We need to vote not by party -but by ideology. True conservatives do not run the republican party only RINOs do.

Let’s start by electing "Conservatives" and not republicans! Let's push our agendas back to legislators for them to uphold their elected responsibilities. If not vote them out!

Lets endorse a true conservative, not a man that dresses up in drag and marries his cousin, not someone who isn’t fiscally conservative, not someone who commits adultery while being married, not someone who supports amnesty, not someone who doesn’t have the backbone to win a war, not someone because of her name or his color, not someone who love money more than America.

Who should we support/ elect a true conservative whose name is: Michael Savage! He has the right ideas and courage to give us back our country.

God bless America!

Newt is electable.
If the Democrats nominate Hillary, we certainly have a chance to keep the White House. I tell all my liberal friends to be sure and vote for Hillary come primary season.

Tommy Thompson is electable too. Strong conservative values.

It will be interesting. I don't think we can beat Barak with the candidates on the table, but Hillary can be beaten by more than one.

Your choice for president last time was such a mistake that your party must now suffer for at least 4 years while the other party attempts to make right what has been done unto us all by the idiot your party insinuated into the white house 7 years ago.

Get behind a real conservative. McCain and Guiliani are not conservatives and do not cut it.

I am not sure on Romney, but I feel he will win the whole thing. I would love it if Hunter and Tancredo are the nominees. They show us what it means to be conservative.

Your best shot at this time is Giulliani because of his liberal tendencies.. but due to those same tendencies I doubt he makes it threw the primary.. honestly if you want a shot to win find a way to get the fringe to vote for him in the primary in a year.
