sometimes - very - very guilty - I still need to remind myself I don't clear a thousand dollar paychecks anymore - but I am getting there again

NO! That is why I could walk away from a short disaster of a marriage and work hard and get to the point where I am comfortable once again.

The ONLY people I know who impulsively spend it up are the ex (who did just that with the divorce settlement -- can't believe he went through that much money inside of a month), and the adult children (who I REFUSE to bail out of financial problems at this time -- they need to learn how to budget -- after all, I SHOWED them every day as a long term single parent!).

Not often, but it happens occasionally. When it does, I usually go for the big electronic purchase that I don't really need but will occupy me with for a while until my next impulsive spending spree.

uuummmm, i dunno about often, but i am guilty of it.
What happens is, about every 6 months to a year, i get sick and freaking tired of scrounging, scrimping and saving and if the cash allows for it....i go shop wild.(shopping crazy)

But, when i do feel impulsive, i set a limit as to what i can spend (like 15 bux)and convince myself that if i breach this limit there will be hell to pay....which usually there will be.
So, all through out the year i may splurge on 5-10 dollar T-shirts off the clearance rack...or 15 dollar shoes from clearance...very tiny things here and there.
