You folks said that in 2000 AND 2004.
On your side of the fence the BEST candidate you have is getting no press --Joe Biden.
Democrats should have had a cakewalk in 2000 and lost. Gore couldn't even carry his HOME state.
Someone other than Kerry could have won in 2004 but Kerry had and did flip flop more than a fish out of water and lost.
Instead of asking do Republicans have a viable candidate, ask yourself are the Democrats going to have one. Hillary definitly isn't one. Obama is an unknown even more than George Bush was. Can he reach the public?

Must be your first election.....08 is quite a way out, Hilary is already posting 51% non-electability polls and historically a race can change almost overnight. Gary Hart was the media darling and front runner, then one mis step and is now political history.
Note: Polls have Rudy winning, and some it is a less than 2% margin.

There is no rush for the Republican Party to push candidates forward. Plenty of time until Nov 08.

I don't think so.
Sad to say, I think the Democrats have a 2 to 1 shot of winning next time.
I think the country will be the loser if a Democrat wins.

It's no secret a Democrat will win in 2008....probably Obama.
The top GOP candidates are flip-floppers, like John McCain, and Mitt(flip-flop)Romney. And Rudy is an extreme liberal.
