The United Kingdom has enjoyed a system of company registration since 1844. Today, company registration matters are dealt with in law, by the Companies Act 1985 and the updating legislation contained in the Companies Act 1989.

All limited companies in the UK are registered at Companies House, an Executive Agency of the Department of Trade and Industry. There are more than 2 million limited companies registered in Great Britain, and more than 300,000 new companies are incorporated each year.

I have looked on Companies House's website but SUBSEA RECRUITMENT AGENCY is not listed there.

This doesn't necessarily mean that they don't exist as they could be trading under a different name to their registered one. Or it could be that they are too small to be registered or are a different type of business (e.g. partnerships don't need to be registered)

If you are referring to the same company that owns www.subsea.org , that website looks like it is registered to someone in Denmark.

If in doubt, don't be afraid to ask for more information about themselves, a legitimate company won't mind.

ANYTHING you never applied for is a SCAM

That includes all the JUNK EMAILS from fake addresses you never heard of and all those from people you have heard of that tell you 'Your Loan has been approved' 'You have won the Lottery', 'My child needs medical bills to be paid', 'Please help me transfer millions of illegal money out of Nigeria' (actually, anything from Nigeria is a SCAM = unless of course you actually know some-one out there).

Why do people never learn ?
