Defense is only a good career for those who are physically and mentally qualified for it. If they happen to be male, female, black, white, Christian, Jewish, straight, gay, or whatever, who cares?

Of Course!!

I am ex army - I served in Desert storm, I also went to Haiti And Saudi. I was a 77F - I supplied fuel to front lines, helicopters, trucks, etc. I loved my job!! I am proud to say i was one of the few women in my company and made me very strong, I can handle ANY MAN after putting up with all of those guys! ha ha !! But i think it's a great balance. I mean, there are obviously things guys can do that we can't, and visa versa. -- in fact, Jessica that was taken hostage at the beginning of this war was in a supply company, same type of company i was in. - As far as the person up above a few that says that women should be home raising kids yada yada, well hell, sometimes men make better parents, why is it always the woman's job?? Why can't we work and be parents too just like the men? times have changed guys!! -- So yes, defiantly we can be in the line of Defense to a degree. Why not, there are women over their in IRAQ and some men here dodging the military. Sometimes we are taking up slots that no man wants here in the states, Men that would DIE before joining the military.. there are hundreds of thousands of women in the military, working front lines, back lines, dental , medical etc etc...

Let's post a hypothetical situation: You're in a warzone and you have no weapon. The enemy is fast approaching and shooting at you on the way. There are only two people behind you that have your back. One is a guy with a camera, a flack jacket, and a tape recorder. The other one is a woman with an M-!6 who's laying down suppressive fire so you can get your butt to safety. Are you really going to be thinking about careers for women at that point?!

The military is not a good career for anybody when one country attacks another. The military is only a good career in time of peace.

A woman has a greater responsibility in the defense of the country than a man..

1. Raising brave and courageous children
2. Ensuring that her children speak the truth are honest and patriotic

if a woman does that, her sons and daughters grow up to be true children of the land.

This is the first line of defense for a country

women can do whatever they want, but be aware that a lot of women get raped in the military... not to mention you'd have to go to iraq and have a good chance of getting blown to smithereens. if you're willing to take those risks, then it is a good career choice, regardless of gender.
