I went for HSG, the Radiologist refuse to treat me as instructed by my Doc. he refered me back to my Doc. My Doc said that the place is tight that he need to Dilate it. Please has any one experience this. Pls can u tell me the procedure and if is an out patience treatment thanks.

Dilating in this case would mean that he (the dr) has to take a special kind of instrument such as special rods like used for D&C (a procedure used for diagnostic purposes) to open up the fallopian tube to see if it keeps the tube from blocking again, if that's where the blockage was.

As for it being outpatient or inpatient I can't answer that, but double check with your dr to see what they say on this.

As for the radiologist, I'm sorry that he didn't treat you the way your dr requested.
